00:01 you ordered a free Bit Key, which you
00:03 can still do today and I’ll still
00:05 reimburse you for it through the end of
00:06 the day. Let’s talk about what you do
00:07 next. First of all, it’ll show up in the
00:09 mail in the next week or two or whatever
00:12 uh whatever shipping method you picked
00:13 and you’ll get it in the mail. It’ll be
00:15 this little brown box. Now, I recommend
00:18 even if you’re regardless of your
00:20 comfort level, there’s no reason not to
00:23 try to set it up. You do not have to
00:26 transfer any meaningful amount of
00:28 Bitcoin to it. just we’re getting
00:30 comfortable. We’re going step by step.
00:32 You can decide at any point that it’s
00:34 just you’re not comfortable going
00:36 farther and you just want to keep your
00:38 Bitcoin the way it is. Um I think
00:40 Bitcoin is the most amazing way and most
00:43 secure way to keep your Bitcoin out of
00:45 the hands of hackers and scammers. But I
00:47 don’t want anyone to be pressured to
00:50 move faster than they’re comfortable
00:52 with. Which is why you do not need to
00:54 move all your Bitcoin to Bitkey or even
00:56 a lot of your Bitcoin to Bit Key. You
00:58 can set it up and just see how you feel
00:60 about it. Um, you may set it up and, you
    01:03 know, transfer $10 or $5. I recommend
01:07 that the initial transfer that you do to
01:09 BitKey be an amount that is so small
01:11 that you don’t care about whether it
01:13 sits there, whether it comes back, or I
    01:16 just I recommend transferring a small
01:18 enough amount initially that you just
01:20 sort of don’t care. Um, that way if you
01:23 transfer it and then you think, “Wow,
01:25 I’m just not sure about this bit bit key
01:28 thing,” that’s fine. Just leave it. If
    01:29 it’s 10 bucks and you don’t care about
01:31 10 bucks, just leave it on there. And
01:33 when your confidence level is higher,
01:35 then you’re good. And if you want to
01:37 transfer the $10 back to Coinbase or
01:39 River, that’s great, too. But also, I
01:41 recommend it be a small enough amount
01:43 that if you’re just not comfortable at
01:45 any point, you can sort of pull the rip
01:46 cord and say, “Hey, I’m just going to
01:48 stop right there.” And if it’s like five
01:50 bucks, I’m assuming you don’t care about
01:51 five bucks that much. Um, but anyway, so
01:55 one second here. My Tesla is beautifully
01:58 passing a biker. Uh, very elegant. Uh,
02:02 anyway, um, it does a great job on stuff
    02:04 like that. It’s just, it’s very
02:06 differential to humans. Uh, I love it.
    02:08 It’s all in full self-driving, of
02:10 course. Uh, anyway, but um, so I
02:12 recommend going step by step. So, you
02:13 get this thing in the mail, you follow
02:15 the instructions, which is going to be
02:16 scanning a QR code. So, you’re going to
02:18 scan a QR code that’s going to take you
02:20 to the app store. Uh, you have to be at
02:22 least 18 years of age to scan the QR
02:25 code. So, if you’re scanning it on like
    02:27 a kid’s phone, you’re going to have to
02:29 go to the um you’re going to have to go
02:31 directly to the app store and
02:34 uh select or uh search for Bit Key Bit
02:37 Ki. So, you’ll install the app. The app
02:40 will guide you through the process of
02:42 pairing the BitKey device, setting up
02:44 your fingerprint and all of that. And at
02:46 the end of it, uh, it has a direct
02:47 integration with Coinbase and with, uh,
02:50 Robin Hood and some other, uh, services.
02:53 So, you can try to use the direct
02:54 integration to transfer $5 or $10 or
02:57 some very small amount amount over just
02:60 to get the feel of it, see how you feel
03:02 about it, get comfortable with it, all
03:03 that sort of stuff. I recommend at least
03:05 like five bucks. Um, just cuz there’s
03:07 transaction fees. So, the transaction
03:09 fees can be anywhere from, you know, 25
03:11 cents or uh, up to maybe a dollar. Um,
03:14 so you want to transfer enough that if
03:16 you transfer it back and forth more than
03:17 once, there’s still enough on there to
03:19 transfer. So I would do a minimum of
03:21 maybe five bucks because if you transfer
03:23 like a dollar or 50 cents or 25 cents
03:26 and then you try to transfer it back
03:27 somewhere, it’s going to tell you
03:29 there’s not enough there to cover the
03:31 transaction fees. So I would recommend
03:33 at least like five bucks. Now again, for
03:35 transferring back and forth for testing
03:37 purposes, if you want to do that to get
03:38 comfortable with it, um, again, the
03:41 transaction fees are going to be like a
03:42 buck. So you may turn $5 into $4 and
03:45 then $3, but that doesn’t matter because
03:47 we’re planning on storing thousands and
03:50 many thousands of dollars one day on
03:52 this Bit Key. And so it doesn’t matter
    03:53 if there’s a 25cent transaction fee or
03:55 whatever it is. But again, I recommend
03:58 just take it step by step. You know, do
04:01 it in a way that at any point you can
04:02 decide I’ll stop right there. And then
04:04 when you’re completely comfortable with
04:06 this Bit Key device, which is the
04:07 coolest and most secure way to store
04:09 your Bitcoin, then you can transfer
04:11 however much over you feel comfortable
04:12 with. The only thing you really have to
04:14 do to make sure you’re never going to
04:16 lose your Bitcoin is make sure you set
04:17 up at least one recovery contact. Um, as
04:21 long as you have at least one recovery
04:22 contact, it’s virtually impossible for
04:25 you to lose your Bitcoin somehow. Um,
04:28 and it guides you through that process.
04:29 It’s really straightforward. It tells
04:31 you you need to set up a recovery uh
04:33 contact. And at the bottom of the Bit
04:34 Key screen, there’s something called the
04:36 security hub. It’s one of the two bottom
04:39 buttons on the uh the home screen. The
04:42 one is the main screen, the other is the
04:44 security hub. And the security hub tells
04:45 you if you have everything configured
04:47 right. It tells you if you need a
04:49 software update. It tells you if you
04:50 should add more than one fingerprint to
04:52 your BitKey device in case you get like
04:54 a scratch on one finger and you need to
04:57 be able to unlock it with another
04:58 fingerprint. Or what I recommend for
05:00 most people is add your spouse or loved
05:03 one or you know one of your kids or
05:06 whatever as the as another fingerprint
05:08 on your BitKey device. That way if
05:10 something happens to you, someone other
05:12 than you can unlock it. But again,
    05:14 there’s recovery processes for
    05:15 everything. So there’s recovery
05:17 processes in case you lose the Bit Key
05:19 device. There’s recovery processes if
05:21 you lose your phone. There’s recovery
05:23 processes if your fingerprint stops
05:25 working. if the print fingerprint reader
05:27 stops working. They got recovery
05:28 processes for everything in a super
05:30 secure way, which is really the
05:32 brilliance of all of it. Um, so you
05:34 don’t need to be worried about it as
05:35 long as you have at least one recovery
05:37 contact set up. That’s really the most
05:38 important part is make sure you set up
05:40 at least one recovery contact. That way
05:43 you can lose the BitKey device, you can
05:44 lose your phone, you can lose them both
05:46 at the same time, and you can still
    05:48 recover your Bitcoin.
05:50 um because your recovery contact can
05:52 help you unlock um your Bitcoin in the
05:56 case of uh if you lose your phone and
05:58 your bit device simultaneously. Uh so
06:00 anyway, uh but again, the main most
06:03 important thing is get comfortable with
06:05 it. If you’re not comfortable with it,
06:07 then leave your Bitcoin wherever it is.
06:08 If it’s on River, if it’s on Robin Hood,
06:10 if it’s on Coinbase, if you’re not
06:12 comfortable with BitKey, don’t move
06:14 Bitcoin over until you are. Um, now
06:17 you’re probably wondering, well, why am
06:18 I even recommending BitKey if I could
06:20 just leave it on Coinbase or Robin Hood
06:22 or River? And the answer is because if
06:25 you can get your Bitcoin on River or
06:27 Robin Hood or Coinbase, eventually
06:29 someone else can too. You’re only a
06:31 password guess away plus two-factor
    06:33 authentication. Um, and accounts
    06:36 absolutely get compromised. Bank
    06:38 accounts get compromised. Brokerages
06:40 accounts get compromised. The hacking
06:42 and scamming industry is booming with
06:45 sly ways of tricking people into
    06:48 accidentally entering their login
06:50 credentials on a website that looks real
06:53 but isn’t. It is a huge problem out
06:55 there. So, if you want to own Bitcoin,
06:58 it is worth securing it, especially if
07:00 you have a large amount of Bitcoin um or
07:03 enough that really matters. And Bit Key
07:05 is the best way to do that because
07:06 you’re not going to get scammed or
07:07 hacked. The only way someone can scam
07:10 you, first of all, they can’t hack you.
07:11 So with Bitkey, you don’t have to worry
07:12 about getting hacked at all. And
07:14 scamming, they only can scam you if they
07:17 literally tell you and you transfer the
07:20 Bitcoin to them with the Bitkey device.
07:21 And almost never is that what happens
07:23 with a scam. What happens with a scam is
07:26 they find a roundabout way of getting
07:29 access to your account and then they
07:30 transfer the Bitcoin to themselves
07:32 because they know if they told you to
07:34 transfer your Bitcoin to to them, you
    07:36 probably wouldn’t do it because you’d
07:37 realize it was a scam. So, scamming is
07:39 almost always a function of um of
07:43 getting people to compromise their
    07:44 account without realizing they’re
07:46 compromising their account. And then the
07:48 hackers transfer the Bitcoin to
07:50 themselves or they link a bank account
07:53 uh to your uh cryptocurrency exchange
07:56 and then sell the Bitcoin and move the
07:58 funds uh the US dollars to their bank
08:00 account. Um but again, you don’t have to
08:02 worry about that with BitKey. So if
08:04 you’re wondering why are we jumping
08:05 through these hoops, it’s because Bitkey
08:07 is really the only absolute secure way
08:10 of making sure you own your Bitcoin.
08:12 Nobody else owns your Bitcoin. It can’t
08:15 be confiscated by the government. It
08:17 can’t be gotten by hackers and scammers.
08:20 It just it’s really the only completely
08:23 self-s sovereign way to own Bitcoin
08:26 where you don’t have to worry about it.
08:27 And if you get, you know, alerts and
08:30 whatever else with, you know, people get
08:31 these alerts constantly saying, “Hey,
08:34 you know, did you generate this code
08:36 with Coinbase?” And it’s all just scams
08:38 and scams and scams. There’s scams
08:40 everywhere. Uh, so Bit Key keeps your
08:42 Bitcoin out of the hands of hackers and
08:44 scammers, which is why it’s worth the
08:46 trouble of setting it up. And again, if
08:48 you’re comfortable with it, transfer,
08:50 you know, a substantial amount of
08:52 Bitcoin to it, whatever your comfort
08:53 level is. But like anything, I’m not,
08:55 you know, don’t go faster than you’re
08:57 comfortable with. If you got questions,
08:58 let me know. And hey, the Bit Key, if
09:00 you bought it in the last day or two at
09:02 my expense, was free. So at any point,
09:04 you can just, you know, throw your hands
09:06 up and say, “Hey, I’m not comfortable
09:08 with this. I’m going to stop right there
09:09 and just leave your Bitcoin wherever it
09:11 already is. And if you’re not
09:13 comfortable, it’s better to leave it
09:14 where it is and wait till you are
09:16 comfortable to move it. Uh because I
09:18 don’t want your Bitcoin somewhere you
09:20 don’t feel good about. But Bit Key is by
09:23 far the best place to put your Bitcoin
09:25 if you’re comfortable with that. And if
09:27 you get comfortable with it, and the
09:29 best way to get comfortable with it is
09:30 to move $5 or $10 over to Bitkey and
09:32 just get a sense of how it works. And if
09:34 you want to make sure you’re comfortable
09:36 moving it back, you can move it back
09:38 from BitKey to Coinbase or River or
09:40 Robin Hood or whatever. Um, so anyway,
09:44 here to help. Let me know if you have
09:46 questions. Uh, I can answer anything by
09:48 sending you screenshots of what to do.
09:50 Uh, I am here for anything you need, but
09:52 the main thing is set up a recovery
09:54 contact when the Bit Key comes in. Watch
09:56 the 38 minute long video of how to set
09:59 up Bit Key that me and Ally Shaw did.
10:01 And uh, and I’m here to help. Bit key is
10:03 the coolest way to store your Bitcoin
10:04 and keep it out of the hands of hackers
10:06 and scammers. And I just want to make
10:08 sure you feel good about it. And I’m
10:10 here to help and hold your hand. And at
10:12 any point you don’t feel good, bail out.
10:14 Leave your Bitcoin where it is and just
10:16 wait. You can wait a month or two or
10:17 three or five or a year until at some
10:19 point you want to get more comfortable
10:21 with it. It’s up to you. This is all
10:22 about going what the speed you are
    10:24 comfortable with.

If you ordered a new Bitkey (https://bitkey.world) here’s what I recommend doing next.

Note: The offer for a free Bitkey has expired. The offer was good through 10/8/25 while Prime Day deals were still effective.
